Are Vans Making a Comeback?

Happy Thursday Ya’ll! Hope everyones day is off to a great start! So recently I’ve been seeing more and more people wearing Vans. Yeah, you know the shoes I’m talking about….the skater boy shoes! I remember Vans and Airwalks were all the rage when I was in elementary and middle school. They weren’t super popular with girls, but if you weren’t “going out” with a boy in your class that owned a pair, then you were a “Loooooooooooser!” haha j/k! We’re all winners here! 🙂

But seriously, Van’s use to be super popular when I was younger, and just like every other fashion trend, fad, etc. it seems that they have made their way back. My nephews have been sporting them for the last several months, and they are really into everything Van’s branded. From the shoes to even the clothes. So naturally, when Christmas rolled around, this was an easy gift idea. We got them sweatshirts and shoes. They loved them!!

When my husband showed me what all he got from the Van store for our nephews, I made the comment that I think I would like a pair as well. Well little did I know, that Santa had already got me a pair and they were wrapped and under the tree, waiting patiently for me to open on Christmas morning. So as you can tell from the pictures below, my hubby surprised me with a pair of navy colored vans. I do not typically wear navy that often, but I remembered that I had purchased a navy sweater from Sloane Clothing Co. a couple months back, and figured this would be the best time to pair the two together!

Even though I’ve only had these super cute shoes on my feet for a few short hours, they are extremely comfortable and versatile. The best part is that they come in so many different colors and even textures, and to top it all off, they are only $60!!!! At that price you can afford to get a few pair in all your favorite colors! 🙂
